Asst. Prof. Dr. Elif Burhan Horasanlı’s Project Has Been Awarded Funding Under the BAP Program!

Dr. Elif Burhan Horasanlı, Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language Education at TED University, has been awarded two years of funding by the TEDU Scientific Research Projects (BAP) program for her project titled “Exploring international students’ (academic) language socialization processes in multilingual higher education settings.” The study investigates how international students in multilingual higher education contexts in Türkiye learn, use, and negotiate multiple languages—such as English and Turkish—while constructing their academic identities. The findings aim to inform the development of language support and adaptation programs for international students at universities.
