We live in an age where science and technology are advancing at a dizzying pace. This progress is significant enough to lead to historical transformations in societies. The production and access of information are gaining new dimensions, and new technologies are getting into every corner of our lives.
The education sector is deeply affected by this wave of change. While the education provided in schools is becoming more critical than ever, the educational needs of individuals are going beyond the boundaries of the school. The expectations from individuals living in the information society are increasing, and the expectations of employers and societies from educational institutions are evolving daily.
In such a context, the need for professional educators and teachers is greater than ever. However, there is one thing that everyone in the education sector agrees on: having a teaching diploma is not enough to meet this need. Educators also need to be well-trained, able to keep up with the rapidly changing world, closely follow developments in education around the world, and be open to innovation.
As TED University Faculty of Education, we aim to be an institution that not only grants diplomas but also inspires and educates the teachers, professionals, and researchers that the education world truly needs. In doing so, we not only provide theoretical knowledge but also equip our students with practical experiences. Our aim is to ensure that the teacher candidates we train are equipped and innovative educators with 21st-century skills.
We also contribute to the future of the education world with our research. We develop and identify innovations and best practices in education and integrate them into our educational programs.
We believe that achieving anything is possible with a good education. With this belief, we continue to work with all our strength to shape the future of local and global education.
