Abstract: Massive open online courses (MOOCs) are one of the most prominent trends in higher education around the world. The term ‘MOOCs’ represents open access, global, free, video-based instructional content, exercises, discussion platforms and other learning activities released through an online platform to hundreds of thousands of students aiming to take a course or to be educated. This seminar provides an opportunity for the participants to build some awareness and knowledge about ‘MOOCs’, its opportunities, challenges and to learn about its integration into classroom teaching by examining some practices at higher education.
