 Abstract:  This seminar addresses the role of pedagogical documentation practices on young children's self-regulation and metacognition. It is critical to develop metacognitive and self-regulatory abilities in early years for behavioral, social and intellectual development. Pedagogical documentation, by its nature, has a valuable potential to foster these concepts with young children. Thus, it is aimed to present findings of a study that brought those two closely related concepts together and investigated self-regulation and metacognition through self-reflective activities within pedagogical documentation process.
