We Were at TED Hatay College...

 

Head of TED University English Language Education Department Prof. Dr. Belgin ELMAS organized a seminar on "Classroom Management" for TED Hatay College teachers on 17 November 2021. In the event, which took place with the participation of all teachers in the online environment, topics such as how to organize the learning environment more efficiently and how to deal with the problems that arise during the process were carried out with interactive participation.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Irgin’s translated book with co-authors has been published!

 

The book “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching and Assesment_ Companion Volume”, which is one of the best-known and most used Council of Europe policy instruments, has been translated into Turkish by Prof. Dr. Y. Kirkgoz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. S. Celik, Asst. Prof. Dr. P. Irgin, Dr. D. Copur, and Dr. S. Erbay-Cetinkaya with the name of “Diller için Avrupa Ortak Başvuru Metni: Öğrenme, Öğretme ve Değerlendirme_ Tamamlayıcı Cilt”.

Our faculty member Dr. Pelin Irgin’s  academic contribution on translation studies of “Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching and Assessment_ Companion Volume”, which is one of the best-known and most used Council of Europe policy instruments, has been awarded  "YADEG Project Award" by Ministry of National Education (MoNE)!

RA Ayşegül Aracı İyiaydın's Research Article Was Published in an SSCI/Q3 Indexed Journal!

 

The research article of Research Assistant Ayşegül Aracı İyiaydın from Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program, and with the co-authorship pf Assoc. Dr. Ezgi Toplu-Demirtaş from MEF University, entitled "What goes around comes around: The loop pf physical teen dating violence perpetration among Turkish adolescents" has been published in "New Directions for Child and Adolescent Development", being a SSCI-indexed journal.

Student Representative System Started in ELE!

 

TED University English Language Education Department held the 1st Student Representative Meeting on 12 November 2021 with the representation of 1 student from each class. In the meeting, which aims to build a bridge between the students and the management, and which will be held regularly, the demands and problems of the students were listened to and solution suggestions were discussed. In the meeting, which was very productive, strategies were developed on how to solve the problems experienced by the students with the effect of the pandemic period.

Our senior year student Kübra İler participated in the TURCOMAT-5 Symposium!

Elementary mathematics education program 4th grade student Kübra İler attended the 5th International Symposium on Turkish Computer and Mathematics Education (TÜRKBİLMAT-5) held in Alanya between 28-30 October 2021 to present her study under the advisor of Ağrı İbrahim Cecen University Education Faculty Member of Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat AKARSU. Our student, who is part of the "STEM Modules Development Research Team" established under the leadership of Mr.

Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Elementary Mathematics Education Program undergraduate senior year students Fatma Nur Gürbüz, Ö. Ayça Kaplan and Zeynep Bakırcı participated in the 5th International Symposium on Turkish Computer and Mathematics Education (TÜRKBİLMAT-5) held on 28 - 31 October 2021. They attended with the presentation of a paper they prepared under the consultancy of Dr. Instructor Zerrin Toker.
