Our faculty member Dr. Sibel Akın's new research paper on identifying the professional needs of teachers to educate immigrant students has been awarded the 'Early Career Scholar Grant' by the American Educational Research Association (AERA)! Dr. Akın's research has been awarded by the Multicultural/Multiethnic Education SIG & Curriculum and Cultural Studies SIG, Teaching & Teacher Education, and Curriculum Studies Division in the annual meeting of AERA 2020!

The online event titled "Creative Thinking and Creative Writing Practices Workshop" will be held by Dr. Nilay Yılmaz, the first activity we organized in cooperation as TED University Faculty of Education Department of Basic Education, EduAction Student Society and Uludag University Classroom Teaching Society.
The book titled "Eğitim Teknolojileri Okumaları 2020", in which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tülin Haşlaman, the head of TEDU Primary Education Department, was the author of the section "Çevrimiçi Ortamlarda Özdüzenleyici Öğrenme" was published. In this part of the book, how self-regulating learning can be developed in online learning environments under the guidance of certain self-regulating learning models in terms of social cognitive theory is presented with with several examples and practices.
Turkish Education Association Think Tank TEDMEM published “Türkiye’nin TIMSS 2019 Performansı Üzerine Değerlendirme ve Öneriler” report. TEDU Faculty of Education, Department of Elementary Education, Department of Primary Education, Lecturer Dr. Kübra ÇELİKDEMİR contributed the report as an author.
In addition to TIMSS 2019 results, current state of learning in Turkey is set forth and recommendations for the improvement of mathematics and science performance in Turkey are presented in the report.
Our faculty member Dr. Sibel Akın's new research project on teacher education in the context of mass global migration has been awarded the "Global Education Research Award" by the European Educational Research Association (EERA)! Led by Dr. Akın, the project has been carried out by global partnerships with several researchers from Columbia University Teachers College, Hong Kong University, North Carolina State University, and St. John's University!
