Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike Ünal Gezer has contributed to the edited volume entitled World Englishes and Culture in English as a Foreign Language Education with her book chapter entitled An Examination of Cultural Elements in Literary Works, Movies, TV Programs and Advertisements.

Dr. Laura Tuahilompi 19 Ekim 2020 tarihinde EME 406 Seminer dersinde matematiğin öğrenciler için nasıl daha merak uyandırıcı bir hale getirilebileceğine ilişkin fikirlerini sundu. Matematik öğretimi ve öğreniminde duyuşsal faktörler ile ilgili araştırmalarına dayanarak uygun şekilde sunulduğunda her öğrencinin matematik öğrenebileceğini ele aldı.
MSE Department Acquaintance Meeting Held!
Department of Mathematics and Science Education meeting took place on 22 October with the participation of our dean Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak.
After meet with our students, the meeting continued with the sharing of our students about the department.
In our acquaintance meeting, where we host a different event every year, the Mystery Box game, organized by our department students, was played online this year. Our two students who won the competition won surprise gifts :)
We wish all our students a good academic year.

The panel titled “The Role of Psychological Counselor in Protecting Community Mental Health” was held by EduAction Student Community on Saturday, October 10, in order to increase knowledge and awareness of mental health and preventive mental health studies. The panel was conducted with wide participation over the Webinar.

Within the scope of Dr. Emine Gül Çelebi İlhan's EME406 Seminar course, University of Helsinki faculty member Dr. Laura Tuohilampi will brifly describe our students about the risks of not taking a low interest in mathematics seriously. She will talk about the main mistakes when trying to make math interesting and three basic ways to connect with real life.
