CRE4ALL Project Opening Meeting Held!

Hosted by our Faculty of Education and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Akın-Sabuncu, the opening meeting of the TÜBİTAK 3501 Culturally Responsive Schools Project (CRE4ALL: https://cre4all.tedu.edu.tr/), carried out in collaboration with Middle East Technical University and North Carolina State University in the United States, took place on Friday, September 26, 2025. The event began with opening speeches by our Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay, METU Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa Levent İnce, our Rector Prof. Dr. İhsan Sabuncuoğlu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Akın-Sabuncu, and METU Faculty of Education faculty member Prof. Dr. Cennet Engin, followed by various activities with participants.
Bringing together many stakeholders in the field of education—including faculty members, officials from the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education, and invited guests—the project launch event hosted classroom teachers, school administrators, and school psychological counselors from 30 primary schools selected from five districts of Ankara (Altındağ, Çankaya, Mamak, Keçiören, Yenimahalle). The participants gathered to take part in a training-of-trainers program based on the Culturally Responsive Education approach. The project aims to strengthen schools by fostering inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments through the support of its participants.
