A project titled “AI-Assisted English Language Assessment and Evaluation: ELMA with Seamless LMS (Moodle) Integration” conducted by Buğra Naim Acar, a student in the English Language Teaching and Guidance and Psychological Counseling programs at TED University Faculty of Education, and supported under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Undergraduate Students Research Projects Support Program, was presented at an international scientific conference.
The project, carried out under the supervision of Dr. Sinem Sözen Özdoğan, aims to enhance language assessment and evaluation processes through artificial intelligence technologies. The ELMA (English Language Measurement and Assessment) system developed within the project is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Moodle Learning Management System, enabling more efficient, consistent, and accessible language assessment practices.
The project findings were presented as an oral presentation at the “3rd International Conference on Emerging Trends and Applications in Artificial Intelligence,” held at Istanbul Technical University on May 15–16, 2026. The study contributes to ongoing discussions on the potential of AI-assisted assessment systems in foreign language education.
The project was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Sinem Sözen Özdoğan, faculty member at TED University Faculty of Education.
We congratulate our student and academic advisor and wish them continued success in their future academic endeavors.
