Our Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Kursat Cagiltay’s article titled “Educational myths among teachers: prevalence and refutational intervention for belief change” has been published in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (SSCI – Q1), a journal in the Nature portfolio.

The study found that educational myths are widespread among teachers and are mostly acquired during their undergraduate education. The results highlight that these misconceptions influence teachers’ practices and are quite difficult to change once adopted, emphasizing the importance of evidence-based approaches in teacher education.
