Hasan Felat Kocahal, Research Assistant in the Department of English Language Education, will be conducting his doctoral research in Switzerland at the UniNE Centre for Applied Linguistics at the University of Neuchâtel, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Simona Pekarek Doehler, with support from the University of Neuchâtel.

In his research project, titled “The Development of L2 Interactional Competence in Video-Mediated Settings: A Longitudinal Conversation Analytic Study,” Kocahal will examine the development of second language interactional competence in video-mediated interaction settings through a Conversation Analytic approach.
