TED University academics Assoc. Prof. Özlem Erden-Başaran, Asst. Prof. Merih Uğurel-Kamışlı, and Prof. Kürşat Çağıltay presented their study titled “Security Culture in Defense Manufacturing: A Learning Engineering and Intercultural Communication Perspective” at SAVTEK 2026 12th Defense Technologies Congress.

The study approaches information gaps and insider threat risks in defense manufacturing from the perspectives of human factors, security culture, learning engineering, and intercultural communication. In the proposed training program, security is addressed not only through technical measures, but also as an institutional capacity developed through decision-making, reporting, information sharing, and process discipline.
