TEDU Faculty of Education Receives Award in Educational Technology

At the 4th International ESEP Congress on Educational Sciences and Effective Practices, held on October 14–15 at Anadolu University, Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay, Dean of the TEDU Faculty of Education, delivered an invited keynote speech titled “Virtual Reality and the Teacher as a Learning Engineer: Towards a Sustainable Education Ecosystem.”

During the congress, the “Academia–Education Collaboration Award,” presented by the Association for Supporting Leading Educators, Volunteers, and Academics (LEGADDER), was awarded to the SAGE project (Design, Development, and Evaluation of an Editor for Teachers to Create Virtual Reality Environments), led by Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay and supported by TÜBİTAK under the 1001 Research Program.

The SAGE project aims to empower teachers to design virtual reality learning environments aligned with their pedagogical goals without requiring advanced programming skills. By doing so, the project supports the transformation of teachers from technology users into designers of learning experiences.
