Meeting for Training of Mentor Teachers within the Scope of Faculty School Cooperation

A meeting was held on December 6, 2018 at MoNE Beşevler Campus in order to determine the method to be followed for the training of mentor teachers in the teaching practice. The meeting was carried out by the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education within the framework of faculty-school cooperation, to discuss the current problems and to develop solutions. Faculty-practice coordinators and representatives of the teacher training institutions in Ankara were participated in meeting and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Balcı and Head of Mathematics and Science Education Department Dr. Zerrin Toker participated. In the meeting, the relevant articles of the Protocol on Coordination and Cooperation on Teaching Practice, which were signed between the Ministry of National Education and YÖK on 19 November, were discussed. The provisions of the Higher Education Law No. 2457 on Teaching Practice were elaborated and the principles regarding the training of mentor teachers were discussed.
