"Overcoming the Obstacles" Symposium was held
On 6th of December 2019, Friday, the symposium, organized by TEDU EduAction Society and TEDU Without Barriers, named as “Overcoming the Obstacles in Education” was held. It had three different panels. In the first panel moderated by Dr. Onur Ozmen, Seyma Buyukurvay, Idil Seda Ak and Bulent Tekin talked about the rights of disabled people. Then, during the second and third panels moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tulin Haslaman, Rabia Aytek, Canan Aytek, Sibel Karacaoglu and Kenan Onalan presented some sample events from their lives. The symposium was open for the public and there were approximately 150 participants attended the symposium. The topics of panels consisted of the lived experiences and successes of the guests while they were coping up with their 'barriers' such as autism and visual impairment. TED University hosted this event which is open to general public and it was held in Ahmet Ersan Conference Room.
