TEACHERS' DAY WAS CELEBRATED WITH VARIOUS ACTIVITIES...
24 November Teachers' Day was celebrated with various activities organized in collaboration with TEDU Faculty of Education and EduAction Student Society. Our faculty members and students visited Anıtkabir; left a wreath on the mausolea of our headteacher Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and observed a minute’s silence.
After the visit of Anıtkabir, "Education in Rural Schools" was held as a panel discussion in TED University Multipurpose Hall within the scope of "The Insurance of Education: Our Teachers" project which has conducted in the partnership with Zurich Foundation, The Ministry of National Education and the Turkish Education Association. Primary school teachers Ayşe Yüksel, Derya Altay, Fatma Korkmaz and Nazmiye İrem Fener, who has worked in different rural provinces in Turkey, shared their experiences after giving information about themselves and the schools they have worked for. At the end of the panel, TEDU members participated in the cocktail accompanied by a piano recital performed by our students.
