As TED University Elementary Mathematics Education students, we aim to get to know our alternative fields of study and seek answers to our questions by meeting with experienced people before graduating. In this direction, we organize "Step by Step to the Career Meetings" in order to facilitate our career journey.
TED University Department of Educational Sciences-Guidance and Psychological Counseling Faculty Member Dr. Kürşad Demirutku gave an online seminar on "Knowing Yourself" on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Aydınlıkevler Anatolian High School, where he is academic advisor.
Dr. Kübra Çelikdemir from the Department of Basic Education and Dr. Zerrin Toker from the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, attended the 14th National Science and Mathematics Education Congress (UFBMEK2021) held between 19-21 May 2021. Dr. Çelikdemir and Dr. Toker made a presentation titled "Changes in TIMSS 2011, 2015 and 2019 Mathematics Performance and Contextual Variables That Can Explain Changes" at the congress.
Çiğdem ALKAŞ ULUSOY, faculty member of Mathematics and Science Education Department, attended the 14th National Science and Mathematics Education Congress, which took place on 19-21 May 2021. Dr. ULUSOY presented a paper titled “Analyzing Picture Books in Terms of Number Sense” in the congress which was held online.
Teacher Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association Student Commission (EPDADOK) organizes a webinar series in order to ensure that students, who are the most important stakeholders of higher education, participate in the quality and accreditation processes in higher education, and to spread accreditation awareness and quality culture among higher education students.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Bilki, a faculty member of TED University, Faculty of Education, English Language Education Program, held a webinar on “Pedagogical and Methodological Challenges in Online Language Teaching”. As part of Başkent Öğretmen Atölyeleri VII series, the webinar aimed at helping language teachers question and describe their current online language teaching experiences and at providing some implications on effective online language teaching in light of recent global studies and literature.
