Graduates and students of TED Full Support Scholarship program, offered by Turkish Education Association to support the academic and social development of successful students with limited financial means, met at TED University campus. TED Full Support Scholarship is supported by our English Language Education Department in the preparation and execution of the English curriculum of the program.

As we start the 2021-2022 academic year, we convened the Faculty Academic Board. At the meeting, Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak presented the improvements in the 2020-2021 academic year, the analysis of the YKS-2021 results and the 2021-2022 academic year agenda, and the meeting ended with questions and answers.

We started to the fall semester of the 2021-2022 academic year with the celebration held. In the face-to-face event organized by the social fund of our faculty, all the lecturers came together, we welcomed the new lecturers and congratulated our friends who got married. We wish a fruitful semester to everyone....

Assist. Prof. Dr. Zeynep Bilki’s co-authored article, entitled “Syntactic complexity in learner-generated research paper introductions: Rhetorical functions and level of move/ step realization”, has been published in an international peer-reviewed journal “Journal of English for Academic Purposes”. The Dean of Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak, and faculty members and research assistants came together with the graduates of the faculty of education, in the 'Alumni Meeting-3' event organized by TEDU Alumni Office.

Per invitation of the editors, our faculty member of ELE Program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike Ünal Gezer has published in the edited volume “Policy Development in TESOL and Multilingualism: Past, Present and the Way Forward” by Springer. The book chapter by Dr. Ünal Gezer entitled ‘An Overview of Turkey’s Policy Development in TESOL and Multilingualism’ was accepted as a part of ‘The Way Forward’ sub-section of the edited volume.

A faculty member of our ELE Program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike ÜNAL GEZER, presented at two of the most prestigious associations in the field of applied linguistics, International Association of Applied Linguistics (Association Internationale de Linguistique Appliquée) AILA 2021 Congress and at an affiliate member association of AILA- American Association of Applied Linguistics- AAAL 2021 Conference to present her papers.

We visited Prof. Dr. visited Petek Aşkar, who is the Founding Dean of our Faculty, appointed to the  Deputy Minister of Ministry of National Education. We wished her success in her works.

We held the graduation celebration of our 2020 and 2021 graduates of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program on Monday, July 12, 2021. Addition to the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr.  Yüksel Kavak,  Guidance and Psychological Counseling Oath Ceremony is also accompanied by the faculty members of the department. Afterwards, a photo shoot was held to keep the memory of the day alive.
