Abstract
With my experience with university, high school, primary school and kindergarten students who were trying to learn English and with my bilingual, bicultural nature, I tried to complete the phonetic puzzle’s missing pieces by designing a program suitable to a specific audience.
A Virtual Exchange between TEDU and UMKC brought together students taking English 250: Introduction to Language Acquisition and Diversity course at UMKC, USA and students taking ELEP 206: Language Acquisition course at TED University, Turkey. Students who participated in the exchange on a voluntary basis met with their partners in seven different groups through Zoom videoconferencing program to complete a task in which they discussed learning and teaching English as a second and foreign language.
