Our graduates from the Department of English Language Teaching, Aybüke Aksoy and Kamuran Güngör, met with the department students on Wednesday, January 13th. They shared their post-graduation experiences and the processes they went through prior to starting their jobs with the prospective graduate students of the department, who also had the opportunity to get informed about possible career paths.
The 2020-2021 academic year Faculty-School Cooperation End-Term Meeting was held online on 18.01.2021. In the meeting attended by the Coordinators of the School of Practice and our faculty's teaching staff, the teaching practice process in the fall term of 2021 was discussed. In addition, stakeholders’ opinions regarding new program development studies were received.
Following the partnership agreement between TED University and University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC), faculty members in English Language Education program at TEDU and faculty members at Applied Language Institute and TESOL program at UMKC had a meeting on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. In this first meeting, after a quick introductory presentation of two institutions and programs, faculty members discussed possible partnership opportunities for the following semesters.
Under the editorship and authorship of Head of TEDU PDR Department Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Voltan-Acar, Dictionary of Psychological Counseling and Guidance Terms, which was expanded and updated under the contributions and authorship of TEDU PDR research assistants Nergis Hazal Yılmaztürk, Ayşegül Aracı-İyiaydın, Bünyamin Atay, Zehra Yeler and Yusuf Barburoğlu, will be printed by Nobel Publishing with 978-625-439-022-7 ISBN.
On Wednesday, December 2, within the scope of EME-481 Student Teaching course given by our faculty member Dr. Çiğdem Alkaş Ulusoy, our teacher candidate Didem Bektaş gave a mathematics lesson with 6th grade students at Ahmet Vefik Paşa Secondary School. She conducted her lecture on operations with fractions online via zoom.

One of the faculty members at the Department of English Language Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Irgin’s article with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Oz, entitled “EFL learners’ locus of control and translation achievement”, has been published in the latest volume of “ELT Research Journal”. Dr. Irgin’s article also meets the criteria for TED University Academic Publication Awards.
Having successfully graduated from our department in the past years, they will inform our prospective graduates about the post-graduation processes and talk about their own experiences in the career day event. All our students are invited to the event, which will be held on Wednesday, January 13, between 19.00-20.00. The participation link will be shared via e-mail.
