TÜBİTAK 1003 Project entitled “MIGRA-MATH: Supporting Teachers of Immigrant Students with Respect to their Mathematics Education Professional Practices” by Assit. Prof. Dr. Mana Ece Tuna as principal investigator from Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Sciences Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program, continues in its second year.

THE FIRST NOVEMBER 10^th MOURNING OF TURKISH NATION: THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF ATATURK’S PASSING (NOVEMBER 10^th, 1939)

As part of the events for commemorating Ataturk, Prof. Dr. Temuçin Faik Ertan, Ankara University, Institute for the History of Turkish Revolution, gave a talk at our university about “the First November 10^th Mourning of Turkish Nation: The First Anniversary of Ataturk’s passing.”

Seminar was given by Dr. Zerrin Toker, Department of Mathematics and Science Education chair on “How Do We Teach Math?” on 05 November 2018, for the students who took part in the TED Full Support Scholarship as teaching assistants of mathematics lessons. The seminar provided opportunity to discuss what the students could do within the scope of the project, what areas they could support to. In addtion to this, students found opportunity to get answers to their questions about mathematics teaching and the general process of the project.

NOVEMBER 10th COMMEMORATION CEREMONY FOR ATATÜRK

A commemoration ceremony was held on our campus for the 80th anniversary of Atatürk’s passing. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Belgin Ayvaşık, our Rector, Prof. Levend Parnas and Prof. Şebnem Akipek Öcal, our Vice Rectors, our faculty members, students and administrative staff.
