3rd Workshop called “Developing and and Using Instructional Materials for Ted Schools Mathematics Teachers was given by Zerrin TOKER, , Head of the Department of Mathematics and Science Education on November, 15-16, 2018. After the first two workshops held on 29-30 September and 17-18 November, the 3rd Workshop was held for TED Aliağa, TED Alanya, TED Antalya, TED Atakent, TED Bodrum, TED Bursa, TED Denizli, TED Ege, TED Istanbul, TED İzmir and TED Kocaeli Schools. By this workshop series, we had opportunity to come together with the Mathematics Teachers in 38 TED Schools.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adile Gülşah Saranlı, from Early Childhood Education Department, was invited as an education expert, to the "Architectural Design III" course, directed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bilge Imamoglu, TED University Faculty of Architecture. The task in this course was designing a preschool and a high school building with all the architectural and educational components. In this context, Dr. Saranlı has provided her experience and knowledge about the education theories/perspectives and pedagogical point of view in order to help students in their school building task.

TALES MATHEMATICS MUSEUM AT TEDU!

Mathematics and Science Education Department celebrated Teachers’ Day by accomodating Tales Math Museum at TEDU. Turkey's first and only museum of mathematics have been accommodated at TEDU on 22-23 November with the participation of 22 teachers and 395 students from 13 different public schools. Several interactive museum events took place at the activity.

Gizem Solmaz, a research assistant in the Department of Early Childhood Education, won the TÜBİTAK U2020 Travel Support and participated in the Horizon 2020 International Brokerage Event Europe in a Changing World: Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies held in Warsaw / Poland on November 8, 2018.

Dr.Tülin Haşlaman participated “TAIEX Workshop on Evidence Based Education Policy Development Techniques” organised by European Commision in co-operation with the Ministry of National Education (Turkey) between 30 - 31 October 2018. The aim of the Workshop was to discuss the collection and the use of educational statistics as basis to design educational policies for the Turkish Ministry of National Education.

TED University hosted a meeting organized by Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education in order to discuss the problems and solution strategies related to teaching practice courses carried out within the framework of Faculty of Education-School of Application Cooperation. 2018 NAFİ ATUF KANSU PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH AWARDS CEREMONY HELD AT TED UNIVERSITY

2018 Nafi Atuf Kansu Pedagogical Research Awards were presented at a ceremony at TED University this year.

Fatma Erva Tayanç, our student from Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program and Minor Program  of Early Childhood Education, participated in the International 4th Congress of Child Development with a poster presentation titled “Investigation of the Children' Playground in Terms of Design Criteria: The Case of Ankara Kurtuluş Park”.
