Başkent Teachers Workshop: Effective Teacher Skills!

 

Within the framework of our university's community services, our faculty member Dr. Elif Öztürk’s seminar titled "Effective Teacher Skills" was held with 40 participants consisting of teachers and teacher candidates. In the seminar, the professional and personal skills required to be an effective teacher were discussed and experiences were shared. Thanks to all participants, a productive seminar was held by sharing various suggestions and practices on providing effective online teaching as well.

Gizem Güzeller presented "Big Ideas for Teaching: What Will I Do To Learn This?"named seminars were held with the participation of teachers and school administrators.

Activity for Sampling Methods in “Research Methods” Course

As part of “Research Methods (EDUC 204)” course offered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Münevver İLGÜN DİBEK, different scenarios are given to groups of the students to make them understand the subject of sampling methods. Accordingly, the students saw themselves as a real researcher and selected participants from among the hypothetical people for their research. These scenarios were discussed at the end of the lesson and the relevant topic was made more understandable for the students.

As part of “Assessment and Evaluation in Education (EDUC302/GPC303)” course offered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Münevver İLGÜN DİBEK, In order to understand the inter-rater reliability method used in determining the reliability, a scenario was given based on a situation that students can meet in their professional lives. Thus, the concept of reliability has come into being in daily life.

 

Conversation and Performance on Traditional Turkish Theater and Karagöz!

 

 

 

Şafak Yılmaz, a traditional puppet and Karagöz artist of the TC Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will give information about the present of the Traditional Turkish Theater within the scope of TUR103 Turkish Language-1 course and will perform a puppet show.

 The talk will be open only to TED University TUR103 students.
