Our faculty member Dr. Kürşad Demirutku and Derya Ağaoğlu who was graduated from TED University Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department and now is a master student at Ankara University Faculty of Fine Arts wrote an article named “Flow Experience of the Theatre Audience: Testing the Affective Variety, Intensity, and Valence Hypotheses” and it is published in the Ayna Clinical Psychology Journal.

Dr. Elif Öztürk from the Department of Educational Sciences gave a seminar called “Effective Communication and Effective Classroom Management” within the scope of “Başkent Öğretmen Atölyeleri”.
STEAM is a teaching model constructed by combining important disciplines such as science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. In this program organized by METU BİLTEMM Center, our mathematics education students had the opportunity to get comprehensive information about STEAM.
We met at TED Headquarters with TED School Development Office. In the meeting, the plans for the new semester, the studies done in the previous semester, the programs will be implemented in the next semester and the colloborations that can be done in cooperation with the Department of Mathematics and Science Education were discussed. During the seminar period, two trainings were planned for TED mathematics teachers.
Poster presentations of GPC 214 Learning Psychology class were exhibited by the students of Dr. Elif Öztürk from the Department of Educational Sciences.
TÜBİTAK 1003 "MIGRA-MATH: Supporting Teachers of Immigrant Students with Respect to Their Mathematics Education Professional Practices” continues their field studies. Within the scope of these studies, activities were held in Şanlıurfa on March 4, 2019 and in Hatay on March 6, 2019 with the participation of students, families, and teachers. The activities which are supported by visual materials and contain family participation were carried out for the first time by teachers who actively participated in the MIGRA-MAT project.
Tuğrul Alpi and Serap Sayım are hosted by Mathematics and Science Education Department, Education Faculty of TEDU in the title of “Alive Lessons with Flipped Learning”. Our students, the teachers and academicians from outside of the university identified how to use Flipped Learning in the lessons with the help of this activity.
Department of Mathematics and Science Education lecturers met with TED Ankara college teachers. During the meeting, information was gathered about the lesson plans and student activities, and the needs of the teachers were listened. Collaborations were discussed. Meetings were scheduled at regular intervals with our teachers and a pleasant meeting was held.
