The TEDMEM team, which is an independent think tank aiming proactively for the education system, producing evidence-based research data, ideas and publications and publicizing them, is came together with the faculty members of mathematics and science education department at TED Headquarters. During the meeting, information was shared about the studies that have been carried out and planned to be carried out in the future under TEDMEM. In addition, collaborations with TEDMEM were discussed.

Interactive poster exhibition of GPC 204 Learning Psychology students was held. Students presented their posters to Assistant Professor Elif Öztürk and all other faculty members and students. Learning Motivation, Choice Theory, and Learning by Observation were some of the topics covered by students and their posters attracted a great deal of attention.

Our faculty member Dr. Kürşad Demirutku and Derya Ağaoğlu who was graduated from TED University Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department and now is a master  student at Ankara University Faculty of Fine Arts wrote an article named “Flow Experience of the Theatre Audience: Testing the Affective Variety, Intensity, and Valence Hypotheses” and it is published in the Ayna Clinical Psychology Journal.

Dr. Elif Öztürk from the Department of Educational Sciences gave a seminar called “Effective Communication and Effective Classroom Management” within the scope of “Başkent Öğretmen Atölyeleri”.

STEAM is a teaching model constructed by combining important disciplines such as science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. In this program organized by METU BİLTEMM Center, our mathematics education students had the opportunity to get comprehensive information about STEAM.
