How to Read PISA 2018 Results?

A panel titled “How to Read the Results of PISA 2018?” was held last week. Turkish Education Association President Selçuk Pehlivanoğlu made a speech at the opening of the panel, Prof. Dr. Yüksel Kavak, Dr. Ejder Yelken and Önder Sezgi participated as panellists and Prof. Dr. Erdal Akdere, who is the president of ASBÜ Social Innovation Center, moderated the panel.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Melike Ünal Gezer attended 19th INGED International ELT Conference held in Nov 14-16 2019 at Atılım University. Dr. Ünal Gezer's paper presentation was on Content-Based Language Instruction with Young Learners of English in Turkey.

Within the scope of Education Faculty Department of Mathematics and Science Education activities, TZV Volunteer Development Coordinator Yasemin Sipahi presented us, "The Butterfly Effect: A Volunteer Story" on Thursday, November 14 at 16.00. Yasemin Sipahi gave us information about volunteering, Turkey Intelligence Foundation, intelligence competitions and other events. There were also different intelligence questions in the presentation.

Elementary mathematics teaching students attended the origami design workshop organized by the Maths-Up Society of our university on Monday, November 11 at 16.00. Our students made cube with origami.

TED Human Resources Management Met With Our Students

Head of Mathematics and Science Education Department Dr. Zerrin Toker gave a seminar on “Enriching Learning Environments” for Tek Primary School Teachers on November 6, 2019 within the scope of Başkent Teacher Workshops event. The second part of the study, which is planned to be application weighted, will take place on 27 November 2019.
