On December 6, 2024, Dr. Şerife Demircioğlu, the Deputy General Manager of Beştepe College, participated as a guest speaker in the ED 460 "Curriculum in International Contexts" course, conducted by Lecturer Dr. Gizem Güzeller. Dr. Demircioğlu introduced the Cambridge system to our prospective teachers through interactive activities and drama techniques.
On December 5, 2024, as part of the ED 450 "STEM Education in Schools" course conducted by Lecturer Dr. Gizem Güzeller, a visit was organized to the Middle East Technical University (METU) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education Application and Research Center (BİLTEMM).
During the visit, Research Assistant Elçin Erbasan provided our prospective teachers with information about LEGO Education and facilitated STEM education activities using LEGO Education products.
On November 27 and 29, 2024, Mehtap Acar Ünal, the Academic Director of Karanfil Academy, participated as a guest speaker in the ED 460 "Curriculum in an International Context" course, conducted by Lecturer Dr. Gizem Güzeller.
Acar Ünal shared her experiences with the Cambridge system, the history of its programs, effective implementation examples, and the structure of the programs with our prospective teachers.

Erasmus+ School Education (Optimizing Digital Task Implementation in School Teaching-OPTIMIST) project has been awarded with 250.000€ funding. The project will improve/disseminate the DigiTask web app (digitask.app) and task-based language teaching in secondary schools in Austria, Italy, and Türkiye for a period of 36 months.
Dr. Özlem Erden-Başaran from the Educational Sciences Program in the Faculty of Education at TED University contributed a chapter titled “The Role of Non-Governmental Organizations Supporting Adult Refugees and Families” in the book ‘English Literacy Educators Working with Refugee Families’. This chapter offers valuable insights into how NGOs are working to enhance literacy skills for refugees in the U.S.
Dr. Merih Uğurel Kamışlı from the Faculty of Education, Educational Sciences Program at TED University co-edited a new book published by Routledge, titled ‘English Literacy Educators Working with Refugee Families’ with Dr. Clarena Larrotta from Texas State University, College of Education, Program of Adult, Professional, and Community Education.
Dr. Elif Burhan Horasanlı and Assoc. Prof. Deniz Ortaçtepe Hart (University of Glasgow) have published their work titled "Conceptualizing reflection-for-action: Empowering teachers as agents of collaborative and collective transformation" in the journal Teaching and Teacher Education, which is indexed in the SSCI-Q1 category.

Prof. Dr. Belgin Elmas, Head of the English Language Teaching Department at TED University, has been selected to serve on the jury for the esteemed "Pearson English Teaching Awards 2024."
The international jury, led by Giovanni Giovanelli, Head of Pearson English Language Learning, includes distinguished representatives from seven countries. Prof. Dr. Elmas will represent Turkey alongside experts from the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, Brazil, Argentina, and Algeria.
